Beaconwild is a not-for-profit organisation providing quality sheltered housing for older people in Sussex and Kent. At our houses, independence and connection go hand in hand.
Our houses are warm, welcoming places where you can enjoy your own private space, share meals with neighbours, and know that support is close by.

You'll have your own private studio flat or apartment – your space to furnish, decorate, and call your own. There's no pressure to socialise when you don't want to, and plenty of company when you do. Support from our friendly team is close at hand, there when you need it, not when you don't.
Fresh food, every single day
Every day, a nutritious home-cooked meal is prepared fresh and enjoyed with neighbours at the table. No cooking, no planning, no washing up; just good food and good conversation. It's one of the things our tenants love most.
A real community around you
Loneliness doesn't have to be part of later life. At Beaconwild, you'll live alongside people who share your stage of life, your stories, perhaps your sense of humour. There's always someone to chat to over a cup of tea, a walk in the garden, or a shared activity – and someone who'll notice if you're not quite yourself.
No more household worries
Forget the bills, the household maintenance, the garden chores. At Beaconwild, all of that is taken care of. One monthly payment covers your rent, your meals, and your utilities (except Holdenhurst) – with no hidden costs. We keep our rents fair and affordable for people on a modest income, because we exist to serve our residents, not make profit.

We have six welcoming houses in Sussex and Kent, each with their own character and community, from the seafront at Hove to the rolling hills of the High Weald. Our Holdenhurst development in Heathfield also offers modern independent living apartments.
Wherever you choose, you'll be welcomed by a dedicated House Manager and a community of neighbours who'll soon feel like friends.
Beamsley House
Situated in the Lower Meads area of Eastbourne, Beamsley House is a large Victorian-style semi-detached house. It offers eight studio rooms with en-suite facilities. The house is within a very short walk of the seafront.

Tenants enjoyed a delicious cream tea, including freshly homemade scones, and some wonderful entertainment from David. 🎶☕️🍓
David kindly volunteers his time providing entertainment at Age UK, and we were delighted to welcome him to Beaconwild after he came highly recommended by one of our residents, John.
A wonderful afternoon of good food, music, laughter and great company. 💕

One special visitor who enjoyed the day, was the daughter of one of our tenants, who travelled all the way from the Isle of Wight to suprise her mum.
